Cllr Nweeda Khan
Nweeda is a Councillor in Preston and is Cabinet Member for Communities and Social Justice. She also has an extensive history in Social Work.
Christine is the Chief Officer of Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Services. She also sits on the Lancashire Association of Councils for Voluntary Service.
Ishwer Tailor MBE JP DL
Ishwer spent 25 years working in Business Development for Lancashire County Council’s economic arm. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Central Lancashire in 2005.
Jaffer has a passion for youth work and previously founded his own youth organisation. He also sits on the boards of Curious Minds and Child Action Northwest.
Charu Ainscough OBE DMS CIPD
Charu worked as a Senior Equal Opportunities Officer for Lancashire County Council. She now sits on Lancashire Forum of Faiths. In 2010, she was awarded an OBE for services to black and minority ethnic communities in Lancashire.
Shahida has worked in the NHS for many years. Her work as a Public Health Development Manager, Public Health Nurse and Health Promotion Specialist provides a wealth of healthcare expertise to the board.
Rafique was a Councillor between 1976 and 2006 and was mayor of Burnley. He was also Chair of the Burnley Racial Equality Council. Before moving to the UK, Rafique was a teacher in Pakistan.
